Fun fun family times

We just had a great week with the family. Everyone is leaving and it is sad, but we had a lot of laughs and fun! Here are some pictures.

Tucker's First Birthday Party

My how time flies! Tucker turns one tomorrow at 9:20 am, but we celebrated his birthday today. I cried this morning just thinking about how fast one year has gone by and how I know he will turn 20 in a blink of an eye. But, for now I am going to enjoy every single second with my little man. Tucker was hilarious with his birthday cake. At first he was timid, but after I gave him a bite he decided it was yummy! He went nuts. The end result was icing everywhere, ears, nose, hair, fingernails...isn't that the point? He had a blast. I loved it too! Check out the pictures.

Spring Break

Well, we did not have our normal spring break--traveling to Myrtle Beach this year due to my in-laws selling their house down there, boo! So, we stayed home and my dad and stepmother came out for a visit and it was really enjoyable to just stay at home and relax. It is so special to see your parents become grandparents and to see the love they have for their grandchildren, I just love it. Here are a few pictures from spring break. Family

Last weekend, Feb. 11-14 was a blast. We were extremely busy but it was a pleasant busy because all of my family was here for a visit. Willy and his girlfriend Rachael, Alex and his fiance Jess, Abby, and my dad. Everyone loved seeing Tucker and he really had fun with his uncles! Jeff bought the car of his dreams and then we also celebrated Madison's 7th birthday on Saturday night. I cannot believe she is 7, crazy. Here are some pictures from the festivities.

Sleep or....

Well I have been facing a personal battle lately. Sleep or exercise. I love to exercise and really need to exercise, but sleep just comes first these days. My precious, Tucker, is let's say not a good sleeper. Some nights he sleeps "like a baby" and others not so much. I can never tell what each night will bring, but it is always different. We are needless to say not on a schedule yet and tomorrow is my first day back to work. So, still the question persists and bothers me everyday--sleep or exercise. Right now I am still choosing sleep. We will see what the first week back to work brings. Hopefully we will have a snow day Wednesday. I will be wearing my pajamas inside out every night ;).

How am I going to do this....

Well, I had my last visit with the doctor today and I am cleared for exercise and the dreaded WORK. I have had anxiety about this visit for about a month now. All I have done is run through what to say to the doctor to make him clear me later so I don't have to go back to work. Well, I love my doctor and the nurse that always works with me, so when they told me they could only give me 8 weeks total and that they would give me more if they could, I thought I might freak out right there in the office. But, I didn't. I sucked it up said ok and cried like a baby when I got in my car. I don't know how I am going to leave my precious baby to go back to work with 7th graders. I am dreading it! I technically should go back next Monday the 10th, but I am going to stay home until the 24th. Just thinking about leaving him makes me want to cry, puke, and just break down! At least I will be leaving him with my mom everyday instead of a stranger.....Jeff will probably take off at least a couple of days when I go back so he can have some Daddy time and I am sure all day at work I will be jealous and finding myself wanting to call every second to check on him. Oh my gosh...any advice from moms out there? How do you leave your precious baby everyday? Lord, please help me be strong or win the lottery.

Wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year

Woweeeee, what a Christmas this year. Having a baby definitely changes your view of the holidays. You become so incredibly focused on the gifts in your life rather than gifts you receive. We were crazy busy traveling around spending time with our families, but it was wonderful. My father and stepmother came and stayed for about 9 days and we loved that. I saw all of my siblings, including Willy on Skype several times. Then we rang in the New Year with Jeff's mom and stepdad in Mannington, WV. Now we are home. We both took bubble baths and are now watching our beautiful baby boy coo and grin at himself in his swing. I cannot believe how fast he is growing and how much I love him. I never knew what a parent felt and now I do and it is just the most overwhelming feeling in the world. So, we have been busy and I am exhausted. All I can say is tomorrow Tucker and I are going to nap all day. Happy New Year everyone! Here are a few of my favorite pics from the holiday season.
