Happy times

We could not have asked for a more wonderful Spring Break and Easter holiday. We traveled to Myrtle Beach on Thursday evening and came back on Monday. The weather was wonderful, the beach was beautiful, and we had a great time with family. We spent a lot of time at the pool and beach because it was 72-75 degrees most of the time. The water was chilly, but that did not seem to deter the kids. Of course, we went to Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach. Madison spent her Easter money building a baby doll and AJ built a sports car. Friday night we had many laughs at Tiki Jims trying on hats and funny sunglasses. Who would have thought that would be such entertainment? Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny had visited and brought all kinds of goodies. Sunday evening we went to the Dixie Stampede for Easter dinner. AJ was picked from the crowd to do a roping show and Madison loved the cowgirls and belles. Too cute! We absolutely had a blast and struggled to drag ourselves back to Martinsburg. This is what happens when....

you mix wine and addressing wedding invitations together. Thanks to Carrie for helping me address a bunch of invitations Friday night. You should expect to get invitations in the mail soon. I am really starting to get very excited about my wedding. Everything is falling into place and I truly feel blessed with my life, family, and friends. We are trying to buy a house and the outlook is good, so this is going to be a wonderful spring and summer for me. Look for more pictures from Myrtle Beach after this weekend. Happy Easter!

So Proud in Southern Pines NC

Well, my family had the best experiences last weekend. My brother is now an official member of the Army Special Forces and we could not be more thrilled and proud. My dad came in for the ceremony and we had a blast spending time all together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!

We had Madison's birthday party here last weekend because her birthday fell on Wednesday the 11. She enjoyed all of her presesnts and loved trying on new clothes. We also went to Chucky Cheese on Sunday, which is a great place for parents and kids. Enjoy the pictures of the five year old princess an her cousin Justin. AJ and Kayley will be sure to kill us later in life when we bring back this picture. HA

Bride Wars

I don't know if you have seen this movie yet, but it is too cute. A bunch of friends and I went to see it about two weeks ago and we all loved it. It is rather fitting for me at this point in time, but I did want to let the record stand. Anne Hathaway's character uses peonies in her wedding so I know they will be all the rage. I had planned to have peonies and tulips from the get go, so I will be on the front of the peony rage in weddings. Hopefully my garden themed flowers will be beautiful. I am lookng forward to it. So, if you are in the mood for a good chick flick--Bride Wars is for you. :)
